Okay, so it took some time and deleting to get this in order, but they are all in order from early May to yesterday, well now two days ago since it's after midnight.
Say YUM for PUDDING! I tried the finger painting thing like my sister-in-law Alison does with her boys, but Frances just wanted to eat it.
I frequently walk into a room with Frances doing this... random! We've helped her flip over into a somersault a few times, but she just likes to look at everything this way.
Playing with blocks is also a new favorite.

OH, we had a Carlson family spa party. It was so much fun and relaxing!

Francie has been wanting to do everything we do lately, especially when it comes to food or where and how we sit down. Scott's always a good sport to share with her.
We picked Scott up after work on his birthday and surprised him with flip flops and a stop at the beach. Nice outfit eh?

Mother's Day Flowers... so sweet!
First hair cut. I have trimmed some of her bangs before, but this time she needed an all-over cut. Her bangs were in her face and her "wings" were getting too long and shaggy looking. So I evened everything up a bit and Frances can now wear her hair down without looking homeless.
She wouldn't let me comb it after the cut, but you can at least see the the back is more even. Still looking a little homeless... not the best pic!
I threw a clip in and she just looked so cute!
LAST MINUTE VACATION
We left on a Thursday and got back the following Friday, which meant we were away from Frances for over a week!!! The beginning of our vacation started in this miniature plane that flew us from Kenai to Anchorage. It was the smallest plane I had ever been in. We could literally watch everything the pilot was doing while sitting in the "back seat". We spent the rest of the day travelling to Florida, via Minneapolis and DC. We even saw the White House from the plane window!
We stayed in a Disney World Resort Hotel the first night called Port Orleans Riverside. We laughed when we walked into our bayou-style room and it had wood post beds. Coming from a log house this wasn't much of a change. We found out later that there were two sides to the hotel, one was something Magnolia which is what the online pictures showed and then ours was Alligator Bayou. We thought it was fun because Francie's favorite movie is the Princess and the Frog which is set in Louisiana and the Bayou. We sang "Goin' down the Bayou" the whole time we were there.
My 1st time in Disney World!!! We got to Magic Kingdom early and rode on all the best rides without much of a line or wait. As we were leaving they were putting on this fun show at the castle and floods of people were coming in. We watched for a few minutes and then rushed on to the next park.
This is more of our hotel. We took this water taxi up to the other Port Orleans hotel which is like New Orleans, Lousiana and then further up the river to Downtown Disney to go out to eat and watch the Cirque du Soliel show "La Nouba" which was amazing!
The tree of life. Larger than you can imagine! After Magic Kingdom we spent the rest of our time at Animal Kingdom. We went on a safari and got SOAKING wet!!! I felt bad for the two men next to us on the river ride that were both wearing THIN WHITE SHORTS!!! It was hilarious!
They had a parade as we were leaving with a ton of amazing costumes and a lot of people on stilts.
One of 5 pictures we have of our 4 day cruise to the Bahamas... we took all 5 of them in the same spot on the last night and this was the only one without my hair all over the place. We did a kayak/snorkeling excursion on the second day which resulted in very burnt backs. We couldn't sleep well after that but is was so worth it! The weather was perfect and the food was great! The long trip home (18 hours of traveling/waiting in airports) was soon forgotten as soon as we saw Frances. Francie did great and after a good long glare was happy to be with us again.
After leaving Frances for so long, we felt bad but packed up again and went on a pioneer reenactment trek with our stake from Wednesday through Saturday.

We went to the new park in Soldotna and the Kenai River Festival on Saturday
I stayed home sick on Sunday (I just can't kick this bug!) and after a family nap, Frances and I realized how tired we both were after a long, sleepless, sick week and we slept some more :)
What did you expect a SHORT blog after such a long absence? We've been busy!
