Happenings Since the Dead Battery Incident

We have been doing so much and it has been a long time since our last blog which means that there are a TON of pictures and some videos at the end.

We now live in Vancouver, WA and it has been a really nice change, especially because Francie and I left Alaska the same day it started snowing! We miss everyone in Alaska, but have also enjoyed being close to so many friends and family down here, especially living only a few houses down from my mom!!! We are adjusting well to Scott working from home and we are getting closer and closer to being moved in. We even put a couple pictures up a couple days ago!

We celebrated my 28th birthday. Kristin made this yummy pumpkin cake for me.

I tried curling Francie's hair for the 1st time. So cute, but it doesn't last very long... she has MY hair!

Shortly after arriving in Vancouver, my cousin Jesselah and I drove down to Eugene, OR to pick up my new Scion xB. We found out the day before that our cousin Stefanie was going to have her baby a week or two earlier than expected so we stopped by to see her a couple hours before she left for the hospital.

This was just to funny to pass up. Oliver and Keenan love to spend time watching movies before bed.

Frances has a new BFF... Uncle Oliver!

We went out to my Grandpa Gundlach's house on his birthday and he helped Oliver and Frances feed the horses some apples. He was diagnosed shortly after with a rapid spreading cancer. He has gone through 2 treatments of Chemo and has reacted really well to it, we are all in high hopes for a quick recovery!

We have been shopping and couponing a lot lately with my mom. Here are some pictures of how Frances spends her time at the stores.

Scott, Aunt Jill, Jesselah, and I hopped on the max one night and went to the annual Christmas tree lighting in downtown Portland. It was so fun listening and singing along with the choir and band. Scary side note: We found out later that there was a bomb threat that night that the police caught in a van parked close by.

Standing by Frances would have given her more room on the horse, but it wouldn't have been nearly as fun for me! BTW Keenan informed me later that the hat I was wearing to cover up my bad hair day was a bad idea... I agree!

Frances turned 2 on December 16th. I took her to the store to pick out some things and she chose a Tinker Bell balloon and Minnie Mouse plates

We let her blow out her candles twice :)

It was a cold night, but one of the only dry ones during the week Scott was home before Christmas

Getting tired and cold was quickly cured with popcorn, fruit snacks, and juice boxes

Aunt Jill gave me the Gingerbread Friends book for my birthday and it has a gingerbread recipe throughout it. Oliver, Keenan, Frances and I had so much fun making Gingerbread cookies following that recipe one night. Frances was more interested in spreading flour everywhere and eating the toppingsFrances with her sprinkles again... blue is her FAVORITE color!

My mom and I got back from a Relief Society Chinese New Year dinner tonight and took a picture of ourselves that is going in the RS newsletter where we are going to be featured this month. Our new ward is awesome and it's fun to be in the same ward as my mom.
